New Year's Eve, excited much

I'm excited for New Year's Eve, but everyone I seems to dislike it, I think that might be because they don't plan it enough in advance, this year I'm all about black and gold and will be rocking sequins as standard and leather shorts, obviously NYE is fancy and I like to make the effort and dress up but think more club than class this year!! I can't wait to dance and party............I am however dreading New Years Day as I will be working, I'm dubious about this as believe it's gonna be empty, surely people won't be shopping!

Peace, love xoxo

Been away for a while...

Ok so not updated my blog in like forever! I went to New York and New York City suits me, I love it too much and need to move there, I was even more fabulous in New York than I am in England.

Since being back I have obviously been the most skint that I have in my life, I resisted Chanel as too poor but bought a gorgeous patent Tory Burch purse and treated myself to the Balenciaga perfume as well as buying the one Christmas present that I have still only bought.............9 days until Christmas and I cannot finish my Christmas shopping until the 23rd -whoops!!!

There are just so many things to pay for these days that are not as exciting as things I used to spend my money on, lets face it rent, electric and phone bills are a necessity but why can't I have money left at the end of the month to treat myself on a new pair of shoes or a dress??? 2011 is gonna be the year that I clear my overdraft so that I can actually once again treat myself for real. It's gonna be long, it's gonna be hard but it needs to be done, and until then I will continue with selling my life on eBay each month, with the occasional treat as well as my new making money scheme of online bingo. I believe online bingo is the future, I say this only winnning £28 but this is £28 I wouldn't have if I didn't sign up to online bingo and claim my free £2 sign up bonus. - So I have now taken upon myself to join other online bingo websites and wait for them to credit my account with a £1 or £2 bonus which I will hopefully turn into more than that -fingers crossed and I will keep you posted. If my plan is successful this time next year I will have some Chanel jewellery, obviously vintage and probably Susan Caplan vintage.

We can all dream anyway.

Peace, love xoxo

Love this

Forget Snow Queen I wanna be an Ice Princess

The ice cold has inspired me and as the Snow Queen look is a big trend for Christmas, think mint, creams and nudes - I will be rocking the Ice Princess look with copious amounts of feathers and heirloom jewels, this is the perfect dressy look and a.maze.ing way to avoid being stuck in black! We all know I love a cape and I can't wait to rock a feathered one.....look out it will be soon!

Feels like I'm in an office...........

So it's been far too long since I updated my blog, sorry! I have had possibly the worlds worst computer, a laptop that freezes and switches off, makes fuzzy black and white lines accross the screen and has been sent for repair twice. I'm currently in an office set up but can access the internet - THANK GOD! I have a laptop borrowed from my brother with a broken screen so it is connected to an oldschool monitor, I feel very office like sat at the dining room table of my flat typing!

So many things have happened since I last updated, I now have my very own jewellery line -East 73rd Street with Jess, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter, making jewellery is so much fun and I am really pleased with the outcome of the items, but being so busy making it, hopefully by the end of this week our website will be fully finished and we can launch it officially. We have already sold a few items off our facebook group which I am extremely excited about. We are still waiting for our business cards to arrive though and then it will feel even more official.

In exactly one months time I will be in New York, which I am so excited for and cannot actually wait, hopefully I will make some spending money by selling my life on eBay but currently shopping funds are not looking good -thank god I have learned to appreciate the beauty of window shopping!

Peace, <3 xoxo

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

It's been a while since I have updated and there are many reasons for this which I am going to vent now!!!

My laptop never effing works!!! I don't know what is wrong with it, I turn it on and before I have had time to update my facebook status it freezes and crashes!! I need a new one but am currently so skint it's unreal! The use of Internet and selling my possessions (all except Chanel) is how I was surviving!
So I am currently now sat in the University learning centre trying to eBay things only to find that it is taking it's absolute sweet time to upload the photos!!! All I want right now is a computer that works so I can get on with uploading my possessions to eBay but this seems to be far too much trouble!

Skint is not the word to describe what I am right now, seriously I can't even afford this months Vogue let alone food!!! I'm going to New York soon and need a passport but HSBC have now decided to start charging me £30 every time I go over my overdraft, the little nasties! This has never happened before.

I need a get rich quick scheme and at the moment scratch cards are hating on me and computers seem to not work around me when I try to eBay my posses ions so if anyone has any ideas on making fast cash then answers on a post card please!!!

P.S I have applied for bar jobs and flyering of an evening - where did my glamorous life go???

It's not only rock and roll baby

My love for studs, leather and black could be seen as a bit rock chic, especially as at the minute my lipstick shade of choice everyday is red! This autumn/winter I will be cracking my leather jacket out to the max.

Sam Edelman is fast becoming my new shoe obsession, I've yet to purchase a pair but these studded heels and flat studded boots are A-MAZE-ing, I love them and want to own a pair soon!!!

Fingers crossed!

Camel is the new black

AW10 is here, well almost, we all know now that camel is the new black, the one thing I need, yes that's right need, in camel is a camel cape coat, I have seen numerous versions on the highstreet but have come back to lusting after this topshop one, and at £95 is a steal, although I need £95 first to buy it! I have been coverting a cape coat for a few years now, in the form of a black one from Zara circa 2008, however it's looking a bit tatty and this camel one could be my perfect cape coat replacement. Cape coats look amazing, however it will never be as warm as my faux fur leopard lovely, and it annoys me you can't use a shoulder bag but this camel beauty will look amazing with long black leather gloves and my vanilla mulberry emmy bag - I best get saving!!!

I'm all over leopard print!

A/W10 is almost here and once again leopard print is big which I love and actually am obessing over a little bit too much right now! I can't help it I adore it, from lingerie to tights, to dresses, shoes, bags and a coat it's so hot right now and teamed with black and red lippy you can't go wrong!!! Although I am still lusting after the Stephan Sprouse for LV scarf, I can't believe I let one go, yes a year or two ago I tried one on in Manchester Selfridges pranced around with it on but opted against it, right now I wished I had bought it! Topshop do a similar one but it's just not the same!! Fingers crossed I will win some money soon so I can buy all these things I am lusting after, until then I will continue to eBay last years clothes to afford this years!

Dare to be fabulous?

I bought this really cute Topshop dress, my first ever peter pan collar and it's leopard print which I adore! I'm planning on wearing it tomorrow with black opaques, my Viv shoes, which I almost, well practically nearly sold a few days ago so cracking them back out, although they kill me, which I dislike! Obviously the Chanel will complete this look along with red nails and lippy and some sort of headband.
Excited much, I dare to be fabulous always!

The highstreet shops are now beginning to become jampacked with goodies ready for next season! I love winter clothes so much more than summer ones so I am in heaven right now, I love the copious amounts of leopard print and black, my winter wardrobe staples this year are the leopard fur coat, knitwear jumpers, my favourite being those by Markus Lupfer with a sequin motif which I have been rocking out the past few winters and I feel this year will be no different. This year though, red is back with avengence, I love red and am still searching for some amazing red boots and bag, but I will be getting a red dress for the Christmas party season, at which point my hair will be back to brunette to rock the red perfectly, until then I am going blonder and will be wearing red lipstick.

Mulberry Margaret Collection

Today I have spied the beautiful new A/W Mulberry stock and it just cannot get any better, the Mulberry Margaret bags are to die for!!!

The whole collection is very British, named after Princess Margaret and is emblazoned with a gorgeous gold plaque with a bulldog, cupcake and tea pot and the saying "We Believe in Tea and Cake" - this idea is so adorable and I love it so much!

My favourite piece is the Margaret Mini Bag in plum, I love the Chanel inspired chain handle and ladylike quality this bag has.

Hopefully it will be seen hanging off my arm in the near future.
Fingers crossed!

I finally have the internet again!

Well it has been too long since I have blogged, but after moving house and officially signing up to Sky+ tv, phone and broadband package I am now back online!
Obviously I have facebooked and tweeted through the blackberry - thank god, but it is great to update my blog again as so much has happened and there are so many nice things hitting stores for the Autumn, however I have lost half my life to LivingTV and E!

Tuesday 29 June 2010

So currently skinted at the minute (due to having a shopping addiction, rent, bills etc) I have to pay off the rest of my New York trip by 3rd August and have found out today that we will now have to pay an extra £50 each as we can no longer fly on the day we booked and have to fly the day before so we do get an extra night which is exciting...therefore now I will need an extra outfit and extra funds for shopping so on a shopping ban until then!
I also need to renew my passport so will need to make some money to do that also...I'm currently contemplating having a party where people come to my house and browse my items and can purchase things (obviously not everything will be for sale and prices will be negotiable) I am yet to decide whether this is a good idea, I could ebay things but it's so much effort to put everything on ebay and post the items plus people just want to buy things for 99p which is annoying!
So as I won't be purchasing many things before New York I am contemplating what I shall wear while I am there, my main staple item will be last years leopard print coat, which I almost didn't buy but am so glad I did. It is the best coat I have ever owned, super stylish and so warm, and as NYC will be freezing it will be perfect. I will carry Chanel, wear sunnies and try to blend in so that I could be mistaken for a New Yorker! I am very excited and looking forward to this trip!
Any ideas of how I can make money are welcome and if you see me buying something I give you full permission to tell me not too!

Yet another gorgeous thing from Jessica Kagan Cushman

Just when I thought my favourite jewellery designer Jessica Kagan Cushman couldn't get any better she designs these beauties. JKC is famous for her bangles with witty sayings and quotes from movies like my all time favourite film The Wizard of Oz, if you have not heard of her, trust me you are missing out and you need to google her now, well when you have finished reading my blog that is, her bangles are fabulous quality, kooky and look great stacked, plus they attract lots of attention and compliments!

Skulls are everywhere since the death of Alexander McQueen earlier this year and I love that JKC has paid homage to him by creating her own skull ring but also necklaces. I love her that little bit more for these and they are added to my wish list of must have items for this season!

SALES, SALES, SALES!

So many shops have started their summer sales: Selfridges, French Connection and Kurt Geiger, net-a-porter, matches, Harvey Nix on Wednesday and Topshop next week!
Being skint at the minute I am disappointed, although I treated myself to some gorgeous Carvela sandals from KG for the bargain price of £39, perfect to wear throughout the summer months. I would love to purchase more - a trip to Selfridges would be delightful.

However, in some ways I am glad the sales are here as this will mean all the crap that hasn't sold these past few months can finally be shifted and in it's place will be some gorgeous new clothes inspired by the AW11 trends.

Now as I much prefer winter trends this excites me as I cannot wait to see what fashion treats will be around ready for next season.

A girl can never have too many sequins so I will be on the look out for some of those come the Christmas party season, in particular I would like some sequined shorts, as I have dresses and jackets galore now! Shorts are my staple summer item this year and would like to continue wearing shorts later in the year, so hopefully some gorgeous embellished beauties will appear on the high street.

I will also be on the search for some perfect winter boots this year, I will be wanting some ankle and some knee length, in particular some red ones as I am still wishing I had invested in the gorgeous Russell&Bromley beauties that were red with gold studs all down the back that I spent all last winter lusting after! I am praying they will bring them out again and this time I will begrudging part with £300 for them as they are truly beautiful.

In the mean time it's not even July yet and we have barely had the summer sunshine so I will enjoy wearing my summer clothes and make the most of it while it lasts

Quote of the week

I love Marilyn and this quote sums me up to a T. People should love you for who you are, never, never, never change for anyone! If people don't like you it's their loss, especially someone as epic and fabulous as me! Believe in yourself and enjoy your life. Live everyday like it's your last.

Feeling blue...

For those of you that know me, you will know that it hasn't been the best week for me, however here is a treat of beautiful blue things that I am currently lusting after! Now I went and saw SATC2 and enjoyed it, mainly for the fashion, as it was such a treat to see so many beautiful things especially the Brian Atwood shoes worn by Carrie, it is not the first time I have lusted after blue shoes Carrie wears, I still love the Manolos she married "Big" in during the first Movie, but these embezzeled with gold studs are to die for!!

Now we all know my love for Chanel and an interlocking C and this midnight blue Chanel bag is an absolute treat, I am also thinking I may need to invest in a blue dress, I have decided blue is the new black, especially as you can accessorize it with an excess of gold and it will look fabulous!

SATC Movie Premiere

It is the SATC2 Movie premiere right now, and sadly I am not there, but have just seen the pictures of the cast's outfits and I am once again I have not been disappointed by Sarah Jessica Parker's outfit. For the first movie she wore a green Alexander McQueen dress and Phillip Tracey hat

Once again she has gone for an Alexander McQueen dress and Phillip Tracey hat, both more fabulous than before, but in black with a band on her arm, is this her mark of respect for the tragic loss earlier this year of one of Britain's great designers?

SJP has definetly lived up to expectation and after seeing this I am even more excited for tommorrow as I cannot actually wait for this film!

Kate Moss for Topshop SS10 - My top 3 items

After what has seemed to be the longest wait ever for Kate Moss collection, I was extremely excited to be going to Topshop today in the hope of some new items, these Stella McCartney inspired shorts are my favourite piece and I would love, love, love a jacket to match...I know there is a Karen Millan one but nothing beats Topshop except the real thing, however, I didn't get the shorts as £60 seemed a bit excessive and after recently buying 3 pairs of shorts I can't justify another pair just yet, which is a shame!
I also love the gorgeous silk cape-like blouse, but this was sadly not in my Topshop, only online and London are luckily enough to receive this beauty, and as the internet is already out of stock in the size I would want, I have no hope, except eBay but no doubt I will get ripped off so will not partake in purchasing this, I'm not even going to get my hands on a return as due to it being a limited edition item, can only be returned to the internet!
Last but not least, the beauty which is the feather cape, this little treasure however is once again only available online and in 214, but if it is still in stock on payday I will have to order it as I love a Kate Moss cape....seriously...I have a gorgeous embellished one from 2008, but I got the best one in Christmas 2007 Collection, a beautiful lace number which I will have in my wardrobe forever...it really is beautiful and is one of my most loved items of clothing I have ever owned.

Although I have not purchased any Kate Moss items, yet got sucked in by a Boutique dress as well as a cute cream blouse, Miss Moss has once again succeeded in a beautiful collection of mostly gorgeous items (I am going to ignore the lace-up front shorts) which will be definite best sellers!

Get ready for the sunshine!

I have officially nearly completed my summer 2010 wardrobe and these are my summer staples. The floral cotton playsuit is nice and bright and last years denim jacket will be perfect with it, set off by my Roberto Cavalli belt and lashings of gold jewellery obviously. My footwear choice is the beautiful nude wedge or the Chanel inspired clogs which I bagged in brown, although the clogs will only be worn on days where I can stand the pain of them. Shorts will be worn with tanned legs or lace leggings underneath and I will wear my nude shorts and blazer as a short suit which will look super cute with the nude top. I will wear the denim shorts casually with a breton striped tee or baggy white top and I have also bought some gorg khaki paperbag shorts from River Island which will be dressed down with Gladiators.

My handbag choice will vary from, either my newest vintage Chanel (as seen above) which was a bargain off eBay, and before anyone says otherwise, completely authenticate (I have had it authenticated on The Purse Forum - one of my favourite websites and compared it to my vintage flap) but I simply adore this bag as it is the perfect size for my daytime essentials and the burgundy colour is beautiful. I love it most of all because it is unusual and I am yet to see someone with the same one. However, I will still be carrying my classic black vintage flap (my most favourite handbag) and my framboise Balenciaga clutch which is perfect for summer.

Sunday 16 May 2010

I've got Scarlett Fever!

For a long time now I have been after the perfect red handbag, which I define as one of the two that I have been coverting for over a year, either a red Chanel jumbo with giant gold hardware, which I extremeley hard to find as they are like gold dust! Or a Balenciaga giant city bag.....
Well if only I had £700 for my dreams to come true as look what I stumbled across when I should have been revising...

http://www.koodos.com/product/106162

Yes I couldn't believe it either 35% off Balenciaga and the exact bag I have been dreaming about for £699 instead of £1065, all my effort had gone onto not putting it on the credit card!

Grazia are doing a competition to win tickets to the SATC premiere!!!

Ok so just found out Grazia are running a competition to win tickets to the premiere of the best movie this year!!! I want to be strutting down the red carpet with the rest of the fashion elite so imagine my excitement when all you have to do is upload a photo of you wearing a SATC inspired outfit to their facebook page! Well straight away I have got on board with this and put together this beauty of an outfit which I really hope will win me tickets!!
In this outfit I am wearing a basic black dress from Topshop and lace leggings from Urban Outfitters, the hiker boots are Topshop too, the belt is Roberto Cavalli, which was a bargain price of £1 thanks to the outnet birthday sale. The sequin jacket I love so much and got off ebay for £62 last year after coverting it for so long in Topshop but couldn't justify £180, the corsage was Topshop sale for £1 and actually the first time I have had it on, and the bag is my pride and joy, my first ever vintage chanel!
Hopefully this is enough to get me on the red carpet with SJP
