So currently skinted at the minute (due to having a shopping addiction, rent, bills etc) I have to pay off the rest of my New York trip by 3rd August and have found out today that we will now have to pay an extra £50 each as we can no longer fly on the day we booked and have to fly the day before so we do get an extra night which is exciting...therefore now I will need an extra outfit and extra funds for shopping so on a shopping ban until then!
I also need to renew my passport so will need to make some money to do that also...I'm currently contemplating having a party where people come to my house and browse my items and can purchase things (obviously not everything will be for sale and prices will be negotiable) I am yet to decide whether this is a good idea, I could ebay things but it's so much effort to put everything on ebay and post the items plus people just want to buy things for 99p which is annoying!
So as I won't be purchasing many things before New York I am contemplating what I shall wear while I am there, my main staple item will be last years leopard print coat, which I almost didn't buy but am so glad I did. It is the best coat I have ever owned, super stylish and so warm, and as NYC will be freezing it will be perfect. I will carry Chanel, wear sunnies and try to blend in so that I could be mistaken for a New Yorker! I am very excited and looking forward to this trip!
Any ideas of how I can make money are welcome and if you see me buying something I give you full permission to tell me not too!

Yet another gorgeous thing from Jessica Kagan Cushman

Just when I thought my favourite jewellery designer Jessica Kagan Cushman couldn't get any better she designs these beauties. JKC is famous for her bangles with witty sayings and quotes from movies like my all time favourite film The Wizard of Oz, if you have not heard of her, trust me you are missing out and you need to google her now, well when you have finished reading my blog that is, her bangles are fabulous quality, kooky and look great stacked, plus they attract lots of attention and compliments!

Skulls are everywhere since the death of Alexander McQueen earlier this year and I love that JKC has paid homage to him by creating her own skull ring but also necklaces. I love her that little bit more for these and they are added to my wish list of must have items for this season!

Peace, love xoxo Sophs

SALES, SALES, SALES!

So many shops have started their summer sales: Selfridges, French Connection and Kurt Geiger, net-a-porter, matches, Harvey Nix on Wednesday and Topshop next week!
Being skint at the minute I am disappointed, although I treated myself to some gorgeous Carvela sandals from KG for the bargain price of £39, perfect to wear throughout the summer months. I would love to purchase more - a trip to Selfridges would be delightful.

However, in some ways I am glad the sales are here as this will mean all the crap that hasn't sold these past few months can finally be shifted and in it's place will be some gorgeous new clothes inspired by the AW11 trends.

Now as I much prefer winter trends this excites me as I cannot wait to see what fashion treats will be around ready for next season.

A girl can never have too many sequins so I will be on the look out for some of those come the Christmas party season, in particular I would like some sequined shorts, as I have dresses and jackets galore now! Shorts are my staple summer item this year and would like to continue wearing shorts later in the year, so hopefully some gorgeous embellished beauties will appear on the high street.

I will also be on the search for some perfect winter boots this year, I will be wanting some ankle and some knee length, in particular some red ones as I am still wishing I had invested in the gorgeous Russell&Bromley beauties that were red with gold studs all down the back that I spent all last winter lusting after! I am praying they will bring them out again and this time I will begrudging part with £300 for them as they are truly beautiful.

In the mean time it's not even July yet and we have barely had the summer sunshine so I will enjoy wearing my summer clothes and make the most of it while it lasts
