I'd rather be in Paris

Right now in a City not so far away it's Paris fashion week. O how I long to be there, I'd have loved to have been sat front row or even squashed at the back of the Chanel Couture show today, Karl Lagerfeld has not disappointed his designs are insane, I love love love the spakle and embellished items, once again Chanel well done!!! I can dream about one day wearing Chanel Couture but I am lucky enough to proudly carry a Chanel handbag!

Toughening up nude

The shops are full of summer clothes and it is still minus 3! No hope of bare legs and sandels any time soon, however I will be working summer shades such as nudes, these will remain wintery toughened up with leather and anything emblazzoned with studs. I also feel like I have enough leopard print items, when I can easily wear triple leopard I feel that's enough, so I am going to stick with animal print but branch out to snake print, thank you Topshop for your Snake Valley trend, I feel a snake print blouse is on the cards. I am also drawn to fringing this season, now fringing is something I have avoided in previous years but the leather fringes off these shorts are to die for and at the minute I am partial to a fringed top, this summer I think my inner hippy will come out but at the minute I am sticking to the rock star chic style.

Oh my god, I jut DIED!

The Rachel Zoe Project is fast becoming one of my favourite TV Shows, alongside SATC, Gossip Girl and The OC of course. I LOVE Rachel Zoe, I want her job, styling is something I miss so much and if I was ever given an opportunity to do something like Rachel Zoe does, well I might just DIE! I love and share her obsession with Chanel, no matter how skint I become I will never part with Chanel and am in awe of her beautiful vintage Chanel items. My aim this year is to dress more like Rachel Zoe as she is my current style icon, I will be rocking sunnies no matter what the weather, layering gold chains, rocking black, leopard print and Chanel - to be honest not much different from my current style! For anyone who hasn't seen it watch The Rachel Zoe Project on Really (sky 248) 9pm everyday, it is ba-na-nas!!! Any one who has seen it will understand why I love it so much.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain

I am aware it is only January and summer is sweet time away so before I start lusting after summer attire which this year will no doubt be fabulous, I am already dying for new season Topshop, there are some gorgeous items but we obviously living in England will get bucket loads of rain first, and no doubt more snow. I need snow/rain appropriate footwear so will be saving (yes saving) for some Hunter wellies, now I am no wellie pro but I know Hunter are the only wellies to buy and although I would love some of the black croc print Jimmy Choo for Hunter wellies I will probably settle for plain black or maybe bright red.

I am not a big fan of rain, but I can't wait until Spring is here and I can put my faux fur coat away and dig out my trench coat and crack back out the leather jackets. So long minus degrees please!!

2011

So NYE I rocked black and gold, in no other form than sequins - standard. Vintage leopard print sequins and fabulous black leather over the knee boots!

It is now 8 days in to the New Year and what a tough week it has been. I have suffered from January Blues this week, I hate how skint I have been since Christmas, and at my lowest point considered putting a Chanel handbag on eBay - this was a low point and will not actually happen any time in the near future, once you have Chanel you don't part with it.

So New Year, New Years resolutions, these include.

1) Be better with money - i.e. don't spend it, I have tidied my house today and have enough jewellery to ensure that every outfit can look different as I can accessorise with numerous bangles and have so many earring and necklaces to choose from I definitely do not need any more! Also I am going to continue selling clothes that I have worn or not worn that much on eBay, this will be an on going process that will hopefully not be something I do in order to survive but something that I can do later in the year to treat myself to new things. I will also be budgeting, I will no longer buy a can of pop from the vending machine at work, mainly as they have gone up to 80p which I think is scandalous, but I will buy drinks from Tesco or bargain shops such as B+M and take these to work daily, I have also switched brands in make up, begrudgingly I might add. Sadly my YSL foundation was running low and I have replaced it with, wait for it, Rimmel, yes I am now sporting the London look, it's ok, a bit patchy but the colour match is good and I am hoping this is only a temporary measure until I can afford make up from a counter again rather than a help yourself from aisles. I am also going to do the lottery every now and then. I have done it today and got 4 numbers, which means I have won £93. They say money cannot buy happiness, but I am very happy by this, it's three whole weeks until payday but now I can actually afford to get to work and do food shopping so thank you so much Lotto! This week I have truly realised what it is like to be skint and for the next few months it will only be lusting after things, there will be no shopping, there will still be nights out but we shall just have to ditch cocktails for vodka concealed in handbags maybe.** or pre-drinking before we party.

**I do not condone putting any form of liquids in handbags that are Chanel, if I am drinking vodka or taking it on a night out a high street handbag will be used.

2) Go on sun holiday in order to do this though I will need to not spend my money frivolously throughout the next few months, but I need a relaxing week away with my girls, Marbella maybe if not Ibiza or Aiya Napa, I want sun, sea, sand and cocktails and the opportunity to rock a 50s chic inspired swimwear outfit including red sunglasses and a black wide brimmed hat - think Audrey Hepburn.

3) Look beaut on this sun holiday -If I'm going to wear swimwear I need a beaut body so obviously need to lose about 2 stone, therefore no snacking will take place (as of Monday, let's be honest diets always need to start on a Monday) and I will need to consume more fruit and vegetables and drink more water - originally I was gonna do the waiting for payday diet and survive off soup, but I want to keep the weight off for this summer holiday.

4) Never stop searching or believing in Chanel - this does not need explaining.

I also vow to update my blog more often and get promoted or get a better job but lets see shall we what 2011 has in store. In the words of Rhianna (my new idol after listening to her new album numerous times already this year) "It's only up from here, no downward spiral"
