Lust List

Apologies again for lack of blogging I'm all over instagram @ladysophs but vow to make time to blog more -fashion weeks are upon us I've lusted over so many things i won't bore you with hundreds of pictures like all the other blogs, but there are gonna be some amazing designer inspired looks on the high street I'm guessing!

I never thought I'd be so happy for the launch of Rihanna for River Island and the launch date coincides nicely with my birthday I think it would be rude not to go and try on some of the garms -obviously I wish I had Rihanna's body to go with the clothes but my current addiction to chocolate orange flavoured things means I am slowly piling on the pounds -need to stop a summer diet must commence -let's say Monday as everyone else does haha!

So polyvore have an app -yay I can picture collage favourite fashion items from my phone or iPad!! Buzzing!!! So this is my lust list -my must most needed, most wanted item right now is these Topshop cream Sheryl wedges -super scared they will ruin but I love them and will no doubt have dreams about them tonight -amazing and they will look insane with these urban Levi dad jeans -I don't own a pair yet, tried some on, wasn't sure -I'm not usually a denim person -saying that last week I embraced double denim and loved it like but yes I need these jeans in my life -should have bought them already!

My other favourite things right now are this Evil Twin kimono -a sale bargain and probably the best thing I have bought this year, imagine sunglasses -still my favourite bug eyed look and these toppers gladiator sandals -I can honestly say if I won the lottery tomorrow most of my footwear would be Topshop they make the best shoes -obviously I'd treat myself to some Manolo's and Jimmy Choos probably some more Jeffrey Campbell's, definitely some Charlotte Olympia shoes oh and Christian Loubs oh my god shoes!!! Tangent!! but Topshop shoes will always be my favourite.

In other news candy yum yum is back and here to stay yes MAC finally -although not sure now my hair is dip dyed that I am as excited for this bright pink as when I was fully brunette arrrr damn it MAC but it will be mine I am pretty sure I have 6 empty's and its time to get free lippy again!!!

Shoe obsessed and can't shake it off...this week with warnings of snow fall and in honour of my New Year resolution to learn to drive I set off to topshop in search of some flats, well less than 6 inches - a Sophs flat if you will which is what most describe as mid height and what the heel less describe as high.

I've coverted Balenciaga flats ever since I saw a picture of Mary-Kate wearing them last year, unable to afford Balenciaga I saw the Coltranes -Jeffery Campbell bought out, you know the ones they are on practically every blog and all over insta, the buckles are insane and they have the biker feel that insanely transforms any outfit from zero to grunge they toughen up girly dresses and fabrics, the Coltrane comes in flatforms for us shorties so we can add extra height, one of my beautiful friends even posted a pic of her new bad boys in white which are just beyond....then Topshop bought out the AJ a nod in all the right directions to The Campbell's and the Balenciaga's and as a fan of heels a cheaper version that I thought maybe I could maybe just get away with...

.....WRONG I cannot pull off the flat or anything low at all....short and dumpy straight away and just immediately look wrong, I stood in Topshop the Leeds store which has a shoe department bigger than most small stores and tried on practically every winter to spring shoeboot flat and heeled, torn and indecisive wishing I could pull off a flat shoe so people don't always assume my feet hurt -which FYI they don't -I have a low pain thresh hold and don't enjoy painful footwear..I gave up in the end, sod it these gladiator cutout heeled boots have been on my radar for about a month and as soon as I tried one on i knew it -these are my new day shoes -the perfect shoe for me, comfy, leg lengthening, not too much foot out and a gold buckle finish...practically perfect in every way. Thank you Topshop once again my shoe needs have been fulfilled.

Hope everyone had a happy new year

So long 2012 hello 2013.... an odd number year -my favourite I love odd numbers years because for some reason they are always so much better and I fear this year will be no different! Major things happening this year -I'm turning 25 (shhhhh) I fear this is official grown up territory it's md twenties creeping up to 30s hmmmm need to start thinking about more grown up things saving money yada yada yada -BORING!!!

New Years resolutions include learning to drive, I need to do this because getting bored of a ten minute car journey to work taking me over a hour now, plus a car would be extra storage for shoes! Seriousness though I have never had lessons but fingers crossed it will be easy after all hundreds of people drive don't they.

Also need to try and clear debt -I am gonna try harder than last year as credit card still lingering and overdraft haunting me -I will actively try to pay more money off each payday -promise!! That and buy more scratch cards and lotto tickets in hope of winning big!

The main thing though this year is to be happy! So I can look back at the end of the year and say yes 2013 one of the best years of my life -life is what we make it we need to create our own memories and make it special. Tonight I decorated a cream bird cage I got for Christmas off one of my beautiful friends with flowers they were throwing out at work -I am going to write down everything that makes me happy, all good things that happen no matter how big or small and put them inside then read them at the end of the year -hopefully it will be super full

I will try and blog more this year too, please bare in mind working 40 hours a week it's sometimes hard to fit in

Who's that girl.......it's Kate

For the past few days most of us have been dying to know who will be fronting Topshop's Christmas campaign, they had us hooked posting clues on twitter and I finally figured it out before they announced it was Kate. The video of the beaut Kate Bosworth’s performance of the iconic ‘Winter Wonderland’ created by Topshop is inspired by the famous piano scene with Michelle Pffeifer in ‘’The Fabulous Baker Boys’’ she has been my thinspiration for a long time but in this video she has possibly become my new girl crush, made more exciting by the fact she replied to my tweet on twitter -she is an absolute babe I love her

Because sometimes this lady is a vamp

Fringing aside one of my other looks I'm obsessed with right now is gothic vamp -think the craft, every winter I love all black as standard but this time I finding much more gothic inspired things appealing I had to reign myself in from buying a choker the other day that would have been a step too far!

Right now if its black, maxi or jewellery with a cross on I'm all over it I cannot help myself I am becoming vampy and I like it.

My fringing obsession continues...

I need to effin wind it in, on payday I was shopping in Topshop, yes Topshop I mention it a lot but yes it is my favourite shop I am a Topshop whore and I don't care who knows it for me it can do no wrong especially when it comes to fringing -this is what they do best, along with sequins, basics, jewellery and shoes!

Now as I was shopping, not for anything in particular, just a casual payday browse I came across the most beautiful dress i have seen in a while, my Christmas party dress, my second tassle dress but it was there hanging in the middle of buy it now, my favourite bit in any Topshop -the place where dreams come true -and when I pulled out this fringed number I knew it would be mine, I didn't care it was two sizes too big wearing it oversized will add to the effect of the fringed flapper dancer look I will go for at my Christmas party. It's cooler than the aqua floor length fringed beauty I was going to wear and a lot less red carpet, I can't wait to get my shimmy on!

In other fringed news today was beyond amazing -I nearly died when I saw it hanging on the front forest fixtures of Toppers Meadowhall in my favourite clothing colour -the fringed sleeved kimono! Death! Spring summer 2010 I saw this in cream on a graphic, I lusted after it, I found it, I bought it, I wore it, I washed it, it was ruined -fringed perfection ruined by the touch of water -words could not explain how gutted I was -trawling eBay it still sells for ridiculous overpriced insanities but I no longer need to search for it here it is and black as well I can incision so many outfits it going with and making and I cannot wait to wear it especially with this space dye body which was an insane bargain too.

Fringing is my favourite and I have uploaded a collection of my favourite fringed outfits from over the years -fringing is like Chanel once I own it i don't part with it

Because real is better than fake....

December the 1st is finally here...that means one thing it's nearly Christmas and I cannot contain my excitement of putting the tree up and feeling festive! Now last years tree consisted of mainly jewellery and corsages due to lack of decorations, I've now learnt the trick -buy a smaller tree, real ones are of course by far the best -the incredible Christmas smell -our little beauty came in a pot too for only £15 -thank you Asda! I'm all about the festivities but lets be honest give me clothes any day so smart price decorations are the way to go -a classic red and gold theme and of course candy canes -I think they make the tree * there is only one thing left to do now and that is watch my favourite Christmas movie -Elf because the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
